CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE

Chambers approved by the British Chamber of Commerce are owned and led by the local businesses they serve and are independent of government. To be approved, a chamber has to fulfill an extremely exacting performance criteria.
 
A Scottish Chamber with BCC Approved status can offer a proven range and quality of services that their local business community both demands and deserves. Each Chamber can provide a range of services including business information, export services, training, representation and support.
 
All Approved Chambers undergo tough inspection every few years by independent assessors. They must show that they are of sufficient size and have adequate resources to deliver the full range of services expected of them. If they fall below the standards then Approved status is withdrawn.
 
Approved Chambers that have achieved either Investors in People or ISO 9000 (plus a number of additional criteria) are awarded BCC Accredited status.
