The long established name of 'Amber' is synonymous with Andy Chung who pioneered the introduction of classical Chinese Cuisine to the City of Glasgow.

Mr Chung started the first 'Amber' restaurant more than 20 years ago in Byres Road. He has since gained a strong reputation for undeniable quality and service and is now eastablished on a convenient City Centre location on West Regent Street, hence the name Amber Regent.

It is in these surroundings he dispenses his culinary art and skills to all diners who appreciate sumptuous meals and unrivalled standards of excellence.

The main restaurant boasts plush decor and elegant surroundings which are complimented by a range of quality oil paintings of Hong Kong and China scenes by Stewart Vernon, one of Glasgow's current elite artists.

Loyal patrons from all over the world remember Amber Regent's culinary reputation and many find the time to visit when next in town. Frequent visitors have learned to trust the restaurant and leave the choice of food to the manageress Christina Chung, or the Head Chef who has travelled the world in search of new culinary delights.

Amber Regent are culinary specialists in sea-food and are widely known for Sea Bass, Halibut, Lobster and Crayfish dishes. Some of the house specialities are aromatic crispy lamb, sliced venison in mandarin sauce, fillet of beef in oyster sauce and barbecued shredded duck with colourful chinese vegetables. Ostritch meat is soon to be introduced for those who savour such a distinctive flavour.
